Life is full of in-between moments – the spaces where we feel stuck, uncertain or overwhelmed. Beyond Liminal is about moving past those spaces, step-by-step, towards confidence, growth and wellbeing.
Hi, I’m Katrina, founder and creator of Beyond Liminal. It’s a space designed to support you through life’s in-between moments — the messy, uncertain times when change is needed but clarity is hard to find.
I am a qualified Occupational Therapist and certified autism assessor trained in both ADOS-2 and ADI-R. I work in Community Mental Health, where I support people experiencing mental health difficulties, as well as those who are neurodivergent or have experienced trauma. I provide CBT-informed and neuro-affirming support as well as practical support for low mood, anxiety, sustainable routine building and restoring occupational balance; always through a lens of trauma-informed care and nervous system regulation-based approaches. My approach recognises that safety, regulation and personal meaning are key to enabling lasting change.
Before my clinical work, I led teams, managed departments and built businesses, giving me first-hand insight into the complexities of balancing personal wellbeing with professional demands.
This unique combination of therapeutic, business and coaching experience enables me to support clients in a truly holistic way — helping them move forward with clarity, confidence and purpose.
At the heart of my practice is a deep curiosity and innate ability to explore beneath the surface. To truly understand the patterns, barriers and possibilities that shape each person’s experience and gently untangle the complexities that keep people feeling stuck.
What drives me is the privilege of walking alongside individuals through their transformative journey, offering grounded support, compassionate accountability and practical tools that turn insight into sustainable change.
Whether I’m supporting someone in rebuilding routines, navigating overwhelm, finding career clarity or rediscovering purpose, my approach blends clinical skill, strategic thinking and human-centred coaching to create real movement forward.
It’s such a familiar feeling, isn’t it? That sense of being caught in the in-between. When life shifts and you’re not quite sure where you’re heading next. I’ve been there too. For me, it was while supporting someone close to me, trying to help them reconnect with the little moments that bring joy, purpose and a sense of self. At the time, I didn’t realise there was a name for what I was doing. I was simply following instinct.
It turns out, it was occupational therapy (OT) all along. And now, I blend that with coaching, using the clarity and structure of coaching alongside the depth and compassion of OT. What drives me is seeing people rediscover their spark, regain their sense of agency and take steps, however small, towards a life that feels more balanced, meaningful and authentically theirs. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to start, and I’m here to walk alongside you when you do.
In my everyday work, I empower people to regain control of their mental health by sharing practical strategies and tools that make a real difference. Together, we rebuild everyday routines that bring structure, confidence and a renewed sense of purpose. It’s about reconnecting with the roles and activities that truly matter, because when life feels aligned and meaningful, well-being naturally follows. Every person’s journey is unique, and it’s a privilege to walk alongside them as they create lasting change.
I’m a firm believer in the power of occupational therapy, and especially in the unique blend that OT Coaching offers, to support mental well-being and I’m passionate about making it more visible and accessible. Too often, people don’t realise how transformative it can be. That’s why I’m here. To shine a light on its potential and offer grounded, practical support that helps you move forward with clarity and confidence.
I’ve been through uncertain times too. Like many, I’ve faced moments of doubt and struggle. But coming through those experiences helped me connect more deeply with my values and my purpose. And that’s where real change begins.
At Beyond Liminal, I’m here to support you step beyond those in-between, uncertain spaces, to help you reconnect with your strengths, trust yourself and build a life that feels empowering, balanced and deeply meaningful.
Discovering occupational therapy was a real turning point. It was a lightbulb moment. It gave words to something I already knew deep down: that reconnecting with what matters to us, even in small ways, has the power to ground us, heal us and move us forward. That realisation didn’t just help me through my own life transition, it sparked a deep passion to support others through theirs.
Now, I have the privilege of being part of a brilliant community mental health team, working alongside nurses, psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers and support staff. Together, we support people navigating a wide range of challenges, from anxiety, depression, emotionally unstable personality disorder (EUPD) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), through to neurodivergent conditions such as autism and ADHD.
I also know how difficult it can be to access the right mental health support when you need it most. Long waiting lists, complicated systems and not knowing where to turn can make things feel even harder. That’s a big part of why I’m so passionate about offering support that’s accessible, person-centred and grounded in compassion. Because everyone deserves to feel seen, supported and empowered on their journey to better mental health.
